Goal:
The right tools for the right tasks, and how they interact.
We are actively using tools in a way that reduces cognitive load and makes it fluid and fast for us to work the way we want to.
Connected to the vision of how we want to work:
Daniel’s sketch:
Org Design Vision for a Collaborative Innovation Network
- Says that each project can use it’s own tools, so we can use a project as a sandbox
- But… @Andrea Gallagher thinks it will be easier to let more people contribute to a project if a project can share tool space with the whole DAO - we can post work to a bounty board and open up content as needed. So I think the tool suite chosen for the DAO will have a gravity well.
Tactical goals
- Bounties
- Have tasks be available for qualified contributors and bounties
- Permissions
- Have qualification be tied to other permission roles (e.g. access to evergreen content, discussion areas)
- Tasks in Work
- Keep the task tracking where the content and work is
- Ease of Use
- Have tools be easy to pick up and use
- Not a barrier to participation
Success looks like:
- Core Team and Contributors are happy with the tools we are using
- people not sensed a pain point or requested changes for a while
- the chosen tools are used by 90% of active RnDAO contributors
- RnDAO Contributors =
- active =
- % =
- used by =
Decision Model:
- need more than “safe to try” here. If we are experimenting with one, we need clear failure and success criteria
- Consent - This experiment is good enough that I think it will help us find the right tools

DeWork and Test
Use DeWork with roles tied to Discord roles, but start experimenting with Clarity within . A task in DeWork gets a thread in Discord, can be
