- This proposal is for the acceptance or rejection of the tool DaoLens.
DaoLens is a web3-native suite of tools for community builders to manage user onboarding, roles & contributions, discovery of new processes, and internal operations:
- User Onboarding: As an admin, and from a centralized dashboard, one can see who joined, where they came from, why they came, what they bring to the table, how they got in, and where they should be routed to. Analytics and insights are also part of the dashboard.
- Contribution Management: DAO users jump between a wide array of tools* from documentation, preliminary or secondary discussion, on-chain or off-chain signaling, task creation, management, bounty submission, approval, and payout. Understandably, context gets lost when one moves across all these different points. DaoLens aggregates all of these offerings under one umbrella.
- Discovery Portal: a very simple, no-learning-curve view into what our DAO does and how one can get started contributing.
- Playbook and Operations: DaoLens takes what it learns from its DAO clients, curates it, and presents it in a playbook for us to pick and choose what practices fit our needs.
Below is an example of the UI/UX:
- As we can see in the above images, DaoLens is a business-to-DAO web app that syncs with our RnDAO Discord server and, through a dashboard, allows us to set up different workflows for our community.
- I bring this opportunity into our discussion for us to decide if we want to try this service for RnDAO, at least temporarily for us to assess if it’s truly a no-cost value add.
- If we decide to deploy DaoLens into our server, I can be the one to administer it, for a monthly bounty of 400 USDC (or any other dollar-pegged stablecoin), which would include any related community management tasks that branch off from DaoLens (TBD).
- Initially, I anticipate that some work will need to be done with the people who have been involved in community management so far (e.g. Daniel, WaKa, James) to craft the copy that our users will see when they first join, as well as the roles and if they are to be gated or not.
