How to get your first 10 customers

  1. You need to get a list of prospects. - get from email, and social media where you can direct message people.
  2. Pick a platform where you have more followers and start there.
  3. Craft your outreach message - personalize it and make it more human.
  4. Reach out - 100 people per day,
  5. when they reply Acknowledge what they’re doing, Compliment their effort and Ask about how they’ve been doing it.
  6. Invite their friends, don’t sell them. Or better still ask them for a favour, for example for an interview session.
  7. If they’re interested in what you’ve built after the conversation, give them the product for free in exchange for actually using the product, feedback, reviews. The way to get more people to work with you is to lower the barrier to entry.
    1. You prepare a script for follow-up outreach to share the product with them.
    2. Reach out to them with the follow-up script to make them the offer with the terms for getting the offer to come when they’ve responded to the offer.

How to Sell to Anyone

  1. Actively listen
  2. Make it feel like their idea - Like they actually have the problem, they’re currently solving it and they share the way they’re solving it. Then when they’re sharing about their current way/method of solving the problem.
  3. Look for pain points/Ask questions
  4. Empathise with them and tell them about your product, which should be able to solve the problem better.
