Orca is a protocol for managing organizational permissioning and hierarchies through a primitive called Pods. Orca Protocol's pods are Gnosis Safes with conditional memberships. Existing Gnosis Safes can create a pod around their multi-sig by adding Orca Protocol as a module through Zodiac.
Within a pod, there are two roles: the admin and members. The admin can manage pod memberships (adding and removing members), but has no power to approve of proposals.
Pod memberships are represented with ERC-1155 tokens. When a pod is created, the pod name and image can be added to the token's metadata. This makes the representation of each pod unique. Each member receives an NFT representing their membership which can be minted/burned/transferred like a regular NFT.
