A tale of two reward systems
- Ad-hoc Members System: Supporters are rewarded through a system based on bounties (rewards defined before the work) and tips (retroactive assessment and reward).
- Committed Members System: Contributors and Leads are rewarded through a system based on peer-to-peer assessment (Using Coordinape).
Each of these models is based on accruing Points (called Give in Coordinape or TaskPoints in Dework). The Points are allocated on regular periods (usually monthly) towards either compensation in Fiat/stablecoins or Project Tokens Budget. Note that Coordinape Points (Give) and Dework Points (TaskPoints) are not equivalent as each type is valued differently according to the reward system in question.
- The Ad-hoc Members System allows members to receive a % of their TaskPoints from each bounty or tip in Fiat, and the remaining is allocated towards Project Token Budgets.
- While the Committed Members System is aimed towards first filling an amount in Fiat (called Minimum Fiat Need and determined through an agreement between each Contributor and the Unit), and any remaining points go towards Project Tokens Budget.
