Purpose

<aside> 💡 the guiding question, purpose or reason for the Role or Units to exist. This is often defined as who+why (who is the unit serving and what needs or aspirations does it seek to address for them).

The purpose might change as per: How much decision autonomy this Unit has?

The purpose of establishing a consulting unit within RnDAO is to serve both our members and the broader ecosystem through this unit, addressing several crucial needs and aspirations.

  1. Promote Humane Collaboration: Empower forward-thinking organisations to adopt new methods for swarm-like / collective intelligence, participatory governance, community management through the provision of org design services (as well as products of RnDAO ventures). More living orgs vs machines!
  2. Research and sensemaking: This unit will make emerging trends and challenges clients are facing more visible. Our consulting work will provide rich data to fuel RnDAO research. Working directly with clients allows to gain a unique understanding of how our principles and technologies can be applied in various real-world contexts. This insight will inform our ventures, enhancing their ability to reach PMF faster.
  3. Build reputation: This services/consulting unit will serve as a platform for our members to expand their expertise and gain practical experience. Not only will this lead to personal growth for members, but it will also elevate the overall reputation of RnDAO as a knowledgeable and competent entity in the org design / decentralized governance landscape.
  4. Monetise expertise: We can generate additional income, bolstering our treasury health and ensuring the sustainability of our DAO. This influx of revenue will enable us to invest further in our initiatives, continuing to foster innovation and growth. Also, this unit will provide a means for venture teams to pay for their bills without having to work somewhere else. This initiative allows our members to monetize their expertise while still contributing to RnDAO's mission, ensuring a consistent, highly skilled and committed team.
